Before an email message is transmitted, the message is scanned for the keyword: encrypted.  This word can be in either the body or subject of the message. When the word encrypted is detected, the email is encrypted using the recipients’ identity (their email address). Furthermore Aspida Mail has built in data loss prevention that will attempt to detect sensitive information such as social security numbers, credit card numbers, etc. and automatically encrypt the email.  Once an email is encrypted the email is not transmitted. Instead a replacement email is sent to the recipient informing them that they have an encrypted email.
